Don't be stupid!
While organizing my pack, I found a Zebra Midge with some tippet attached. "I'll just pull on it to break the tippet...", stupid idea!

Better Foam Frog Fly
I thought I had a masterpiece yesterday with my prototype foam frog. But after a few hours in the R&D department, I think I really do have something to squawk about...

Foam Frog
I recently obtained some foam from Sportsman Warehouse on closeout ($0.59). I've been messing around with different ideas of patterns to use it with. I must say, before this, most of my experience tying with foam was the 2mm craft store variety. This is much thicker and less dense. I think I will break down and buy some more colors in this type of foam.
This is a prototype, but I don't think I will change much. The frog rides hook-side up to avoid the need for a weed-guard. I will be visiting my grandpa in Georgia for his 85th birthday in April. And he has a couple ponds full of lillypads, stumps, and most importantly fish.
